I feel you about the heat! I don't hate it as much as I used to, and I don't thrive in winter either, but I too am ready for summer to call it quits. I want fall. It's my favorite season, and it never lasts long enough.
Oh, I know. We go to KC quite often, well less often now, but we used to go every month when I was a kid. I miss KC. It's been a minute since I've been.
I've lived over here most of my life, and I love the area. I lived in StL for three years, and it felt much different to me, largely in urbanization. It's easier to find country and undeveloped land over here, in my (likely heavily biased) opinion, anyway. I live at the edge of rural communities, so I've always favored that kind of setting.
My mom grew up in KC, and most of her family is still there. I like KC a lot as a place to visit. I make no secret of the fact that I do not like living in the midwest. I miss New England where I went to university. But STL has lots of great free stuff to do for families, so there is that.
I was trying to fix the placement of my last comment (because I was dumb and didn't manage to put it in our thread) and I think I accidentally deleted a reply you already sent. 😭
Aw, I hope you get to live in New England again some day. 💜 I enjoyed Maine when we traveled there. Overall, though, I think the winters would be too cold for me in the northeast.
I've traveled lots of places. Visually, I love the desert southwest the most. Not sure if I could handle the heat full-time, but Nevada is my favorite state (and Death Valley is my favorite national park and close to the Nevada border). I also love coastal Oregon. So those are the areas I fantasize about for retirement. 😁
I do agree that StL has a lot of great things to offer for families or outgoing people.
Pppppppeach!!! 🥳🤣🥳 So proud of you babe for driving through this project and getting her book out into the world! 🍑💙🌈💙🍑
It's almost done! I almost don't believe it.
So proud of you 💙🙏🏽💙

Fall is the best! Fall in St. Louis is just the blink of an eye! I miss my New England fall weather.
Yeah, it doesn't linger much longer in KC, unfortunately. 😕

I think it said you lived in Vermont?

SO excited for Peach!
Me too!
I lived in Vermont for five glorious years. I sadly don't think it's my destiny to live there again. My favorite part of living there was winter.
