Hello Kittens!
As many of you have already noticed, we have moved from our previous home over at MailChimp over to Substack. Why? Well, several reasons.
First, at the beginning of March, MailChimp is changing their policies about how many subscribers you can have at different price levels, and with the number of you all that come and hang out with me in these email, they simply priced me out. Which is sad, because I really loved my home there.
Second, upon the advice of several of my peers, I checked out what I can offer on Substack, and I knew we could build a much better, more interactive, and cohesive community here than we would ever have been able to over at MailChimp. This is kind of a cross between an email service and a bit of Discordesque chat features, plus for those of you who want more from me, there’s a pay wall where I can drop all kinds of goodies. I’m completely open to suggestion as to what we might put there.
Third, my friends are here. Cheesy, yes. But Substack lets me recommend other creators on this service that I think my readers might like. This includes a couple of my co-authors (book wives!) and friends in the romance world.
So, we have moved and I think we are all better for it.

LOKI is growing by the minute!
Being a grizzly means you're on the top of the food chain but in the world where shifters are experimenting on their own even apex predators are fair game.
Rebekah O’Mahony has found herself an orphan without a den and running for her life. Alone and on the run from enemies who want her back in their clutches, she turns to the one man who she thinks can help her find her brother and keep her safe. A man she's never been able to forget, no matter how much time has passed. With evil nipping at her heels, the Lords of Khaos are more than willing to bring a lost sister back into the fold.
Fitzgerald Kavanaugh doesn't see himself as the hero in anyone's story, not even his own. But when a childhood friend reaches out to him desperate for help, he does the only thing he can, and steps up. When he realizes that Bex has only barely escaped Longshot–the same cutthroat club that LOKI has been looking for–and their fearsome allies, he's more determined than ever to protect her. Getting one step closer to unraveling the mystery he and his brothers have been chasing.
Only thing is, seeing one another for the first time in two decades yields an unexpected twist. On the verge of war Fitz has found the fated mate he didn't know he'd lost, and wasn’t aware that he needed, only to find that Longshot poses a threat to his future on a much more personal level. As the Lords of Khaos prepare to go to battle, will the promise of love and a happily ever after be enough to see Bex and Fitz through? Or will the danger that is lurking just outside of Ironwood’s gates be more than they can handle?
My Book Wives and I have been collaborating like crazy.
Along with my first ever book wife, Miri Stone, I’m bringing the dragons (and aliens!)
Growing up in Valhalla’s Pass wasn’t easy but it made you tough. When her grandfather died suddenly, Tess took over his legacy–Last Chance Bar–in a heartbeat. She didn’t count on the gambling debts.
However, when a new group of scary looking cos-play bikers turn up offering her protection, she’s convinced her quirky bestie is pranking her. Little does Tess know that the Stellar Misfits MC are dead set on winning her over as their fated mate. They’ll start with defending Last Chance Bar from their age-old rivals, the Drakon Hunters MC.
Will Tess be able to put aside her natural skepticism and embrace the idea that the stars might be smiling on her after all? Or will she turn her back on her fated mates and never let her heart soar?
Interstellar Dragon Mates of Drakonis is the latest sizzling, why choose paranormal motorcycle club romance written by Miri Stone & K.O. Newman. Hop on for a wild ride.
If you read the I AM THE FIRE Anthology, this book takes place in the same world as Doctor Mate and will be featuring again in the ALIENS ON EARTH Anthology with Rebel Mate.
That’s right, Mariah and I have started another series!
Sookie was a goddess in the kitchen, but a mediocre witch at best. Her spells seemed to take on a life of their own, to often hilarious–usually harmless–results. She just wanted her wings to be tastier. It was only a little spell, a few herbs and spices added to the sauce, a little rhyme to bind it together, and just a taste of razzle dazzle. Instead of bringing customers back for more finger-licking goodness, she found herself with a shifter problem. Specifically, a sexy, horny and tad bit geeky soul mate, who just wants to love her (and, ahem, love her). Worst part? The spice seemed to have settled in her girly bits, which sets them and her soul on fire every time she sees him.
Roman, a maine coon shifter, was without a cluster or a place in the world. When the mating call hit him between the eyes, he heeded it instantly. His body was burning for his one true mate. If only he could convince her to give him a chance.
Something is disrupting the careful balance holding the spells in place that keep the town safe. Eyes are pointed at Roman and the other supernatural beings who have begun settling in Winter Haven, and the call to kick them to the curb comes all too soon. Can Sookie learn to accept her mate's claim and heed the call of their bond? Will Roman lose the one connection he has left? Can love win the day and set about righting the wrongs, or are they destined to be star-crossed lovers? And what will happen to Witchy Wings, stuck in the middle of all of the chaos? Cause all Sookie wanted to do was show people nerdy girls can make hot sauce too.
Mariah and I have had so much fun writing our Blood Moon Riders Series, that we decided to add another feather in our writing hats. Come check out the Witches of Winter Haven (there may be some surprise guests along the way).
Welcome to Peach Licker Georgia! (And my first book with my lovely book wife Shelly Ferguson)
Ember and her cousins scattered to the winds after college, but a mysterious letter from their aunt pulls them back home.
Being a baker in New York isn't all it's cracked up to be. Ridiculous hours, bare minimum pay, and a tiny efficiency apartment with her cat wasn't exactly what Ember was expecting when she left Culinary School with top marks. But going home to Peach Licker, Georgia, and admitting defeat was not what she had planned. Then the letter came. An urgent call to come home to her ailing aunt and take over the family shop with her cousins may just change the course of Ember's life.
Thor, president of the Barbarian Kings Motorcycle club, never felt a tie to anywhere. Along with his brothers, Loki and Tyr, he had been traveling the country for as long as he could remember. Other members came and went, but their bond was absolute. And all because they had been on the run from (Who? Again?). But one foot, or wheel, into Peach Licker, and he instantly knows its time to put down roots and stage his last stand. Definitely has nothing to do with the pretty new bakery owner in town.
Ember is the first book in the Southern Bell Coven by Shelly Ferguson and K.O. Newman. Set in a tiny coastal town near Savannah where things are far from normal. Preorder your copy now so you don't miss this hot new series!
ALIENS ON EARTH
Real quick I’m going to give you two amazing reasons that you should grab a copy of Aliens on Earth.
It’s only 99 cents! There are nearly 100 authors signed on to write stories (yeah that’s less than a single penny per story) and boy are there some awesome authors signed on. (plus I’m writing 2 of those stories!)
It’s a charity anthology with it’s proceeds going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
If that’s not enough to entice you, then how about this? There are two stories coming from myself and two of my book wives!
Mariah Thayer and I are writing an installment of the Blood Moon Riders MC series, with all the magic and mayhem that you’re used to, along with a little alien spice (and some special alien anatomy action that you can’t miss).
Dragons are the name of the game for my collaboration with book wife Miri Stone. We have been dreaming up a series of Why-Choose Dragon Shifter Aliens for a while, and this just seemed like the perfect place to drop a series novella.
