Hello Kittens
Things have started ticking along again. It’s taken a little bit of time to find that work life balance again with the new job, honestly longer than I thought it would take, but a lot changed when I went from being home struggling with long COVID to working at a preschool and learning to manage my symptoms while still working full time away from home. Its a good fucking thing that I love my job. What does this all mean? I’m writing on a more predictable schedule again, and I have books that I can’t wait for you to get to read coming down the line! This of course includes the next book in
and my Blood Moon Riders series, Harvest Moon. I just can’t wait to introduce you all to Doc’s mate Nora, she’s so much fun, and poor Doc just doesn’t know what hit him, or maybe he does! That’s enough of that for now though. I’m not just my characters, or my books. I’m a mom and a preschool teacher, and have a—limited—life outside of the writing cave. Like right now, I’m currently involved in a very tense discussion with my four year old about whether or not he can have fruit snacks without finishing his dinner. There have been tears, screaming and just a little bit of acceptance… he’s decided to just go back to Bluey instead of finishing dinner, and without his much loved fruit snacks. I am under no delusion that this will be the end of this discussion, he’s simply biding his time (ie waiting for me to get too embroiled in my work that I just say yes. He’s bound to be disappointed).
My kiddos at school are much more agreeable, possibly because they’re all under the age of one, and none of them actually talk. Speaking of school, I love it. Every day is a series of baby snuggles, feedings and diapers, interspersed with playing toys and learning not to touch our friends faces. Some of the phrases that I find myself saying often are more than a little hilarious when I remember that I spend my free time being a romance author. “We don’t lick our friends” (boldfaced lie, but a good suggestion for small children), “Hitting with letters is fine, as long as it doesn’t progress to hitting with full books” (we have a set of quilted letters that are quite soft), “Do you have good finger nails? Danny’s boogers require good finger nails” (only teachers should be picking anyone’s nose, and only if they are too small to blow them). Sufficed to say, being a preschool teacher is filled with all kinds of adventures, and lots of fun, a little crying—usually not me—and tons of giggles and gummy smiles.
I hope you all are having a wonderful spring so far, and that this year is treating you well. I want to wish all who celebrate, a blessed Beltane, I have been informed that Beltane is the time to sow the seeds that you wish to grow this year. If I could make anything grow, I would plant seeds with the intention of happiness, love and prosperity to my beautiful coven of friends who have become family. You all know who you are, and I love you.
XOXO,
Kat

Welcome back to Blood Moon.
It’s been a while since the last Blood Moon book hit the shelves, but here’s your chance to get requited. After all, Crow Moon is FREE. No reason not to snatch that up and dive into the series. And now is the best time, since Crow Moon wont be FREE forever!
On the hunt for dark witches fleeing with a dangerous book of magic, Blood Moon can't afford distractions. And that includes a moment of respite with a shiny new mate. Good thing Doc is positive that possibility has passed. Nothing could prepare him for what the goddess has in store.
Doc has given his life to Blood Moon and the Nomad chapter of the MC. It had been years since he'd even considered the likelihood of a fated mate crossing his path, much less agreeing to a life on the road with the rough and ready bikers. And yet, the Goddess sees fit to throw her directly into his path just as the Nomads are on the hunt for Trillium Moon and Hekate's stolen book. Complicating matters even further, Nora is young–too young. There's no chance in hell that Doc will subject her to the difficulties of being mated to the club's doctor and a life without roots.
Nora came to Taos for one thing: to escape the hold of her rigid parents by joining her older brother, Tank, the Sgt-at-Arms of the Blood Moon Riders' Taos Chapter. Nora thinks she's finally found her peace–and maybe her place–in New Mexico, until she runs smack into her fated mate in the visiting Nomad Chapter's handsome doctor. She is immediately drawn to his calm, solid presence. But Doc wants nothing to do with Nora, barely a college graduate and several years his junior. Nevermind that the chemistry between them hits like a bomb going off. Nevermind that in one another's arms, the dark clouds of war feel far less ominous.
Finding the mate you never expected in the midst of war is a test of conviction and fortitude–something Doc and Nora have in spades. They must learn to believe in the wisdom of the goddess–and that they deserve the fierce promise of love that has been offered to them–in spite of all the obstacles. Or Doc will leave Taos bereft of half his soul, and Nora rootless and alone with darkness closing in.
Who’s ready for some book signings?
This year, I am fortunate enough to get to go to three amazing signing events! I can’t wait to get to meet more of my readers, and get some face time with my author and reader friends who live much too far away.

I will be attending with
and our wonderful beta reader turned PA Sara. This is a FREE signing that will take place in Deadwood South Dakota during Wild Bill days. The event will be held at the Lodge in Deadwood from 9:30am until 3:30pm. You can find out all the information on the event itself at www.wilddeadwoodreads.com and find my preorder HERE! Any information you could need for the event will be on the Anytime Author Promotions website and my preorder for this event is HERE.
