Hello Kittens
Life has taken a few twists and turns this summer. Most of them good, some of them not so good. But again, mostly good. With Peach finally being out in the world, having a spur of the moment road trip with my bestie, two more book signings this year, and lots of great time with some of my favorite humans (and new favorite dog), things have been going really well.
This past weekend, my bestie Mariah and I decided to take the littlest kiddos camping and then to Galena Illinois for not just a book signing, but to check out the sweetest town. Sleep deprivation, a late night tent set up (and by late night, I really mean 2am), a truck stop shower, amazing coffee, chatting with friends (new and old), chocolate, and a full day of shopping, exploring and finding at least one new favorite shop, made for an awfully big adventure for the four of us. Even with the fact that my air mattress deflated in the middle of the night (and by middle of the night I mean like 6am), and the kids going off the rails about halfway through the drive home, I wouldn’t have traded any moment of it for anything. Those of you who know, know that both Mariah and I love a good road trip, and we were due for a great one!
Now to the not so exciting stuff. Librarian Mate, the second book in the series I have been writing with
will not be coming out as scheduled. For those of you who follow Miri, you will know that this year has not gone the way she planned at all, and in that light, we have made the very difficult choice to let Librarian Mate sit on the shelf for a while. It wont be forever. We are both still very committed to telling Sam’s story, but neither of us can tell that story to the fullest of its potential.Back to good news! I get to go to Salem with my besties.
and will be with me at Getting Witchy With It. I can’t wait for a bestie vacation, along with our PAs Sara and Debra, and getting to spend some good time in my second home, New England. If you’re going to be in Salem (or Boston) come by and see us. The signing is free, and there are so many awesome people who will be there. (Check below for more information)It’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you about my co-write with Miri, but I have so many other books coming down the line. Keep an eye out for exciting news about other books that I’m working on, both solo and with my amazing and wonderful author friends!
XOXO,
Kat

Welcome to the Secretverse
A hundred years ago the world ended.
History said that bombs rained down and governments fell.
From the ashes a new order rose.
Humanity has changed, and while some embrace it, others have shunned the change, preferring to hide away from the rest of the world. But no matter how tightly you lock yourself away, you can’t hide from your own biology.
While humans continue to hide from the plague that rewrote their genetics and ravaged their world, Scarlet’s father and his Council line their pockets with the sales of the Omegas born among them. Too afraid to catch the disease that changed everything, humanity atrophies while shifters rebuild.
But the shifters aren't going to sit back and wait for the humans to do the right thing anymore, they're ready to take back the power and give Omegas a fighting chance. And along with her newly found omega, Micah, Katie isn't going to take any of this laying down. Only problem? She's got another mate, who has done everything to desecrate their bond.
Taking over an old rival MC isn't the easiest thing in the world. Who is friend, and who is foe? And who is looking for protection through a bond?
Can Heath make up for all the hurtful things he's done? Can Micah dig himself out of the trauma and bond with his pack? And what happens when they find more members?
Who’s ready for some book signings?
This year, I am fortunate enough to get to go to two more amazing signing events! I can’t wait to get to meet more of my readers, and get some face time with my author and reader friends who live much too far away. I loved seeing everyone at Deadwood!
GETTING WITCHY WITH IT:
and I will be attending GWWI for the second time this year, and we will be accompanied by and our PAs Sara and Debra as well. This is a FREE event, but of course you can get VIP tickets for an enhanced experience. It will take place at the Boston Marriot Peabody, and Mariah, Shelly and I will be signing on Saturday September 14th. Any information you could need for the event will be on the Anytime Author Promotions website and my preorder for this event is HERE. This year, unfortunately I will not get the amazing experience of driving from Illinois to Mass (not sarcastic, I really loved the road trip we took last year) and thus will have a limited number of books! Please preorder.BOOKS BY THE ARCH:
On October 5th I will be signing at Books by the Arch in St. Louis Missouri on my own. I will of course have my lovely PA Sara with me (who I am more than grateful for, cause I’m not the world’s best peopler when it comes to large crowds—I promise I want to talk to you all! I just freak out a bit.) You can find tickets for this event HERE and more information on the event itself HERE and if you want to preorder books from me you can do so HERE. This is a hometown event for me, so I’m likely to have a good number of books on the day, but if you want to ensure you get specific books, please preorder (and they come with extra swag when you do!).
WHO WANTS A FREE BOOK?!?
This year I have gotten together with some of the very best in Paranormal Romance, to be able to offer my readers a free book each and every month.
WHAT?
Yes. A free book from some of my favorite authors will be available in my first of the month news letter.
Undead to Rites
This city has always hated me. I've spent my life trying to save up enough money to clear my mom's debts—may she, at least, rest in peace—and get out of here. But right when I'm banking a huge bag of money to do just that... Bam. I'm dead.
And then I'm alive again. Which would be great, except it happens again. And again.
Now, I need to figure out if I owe someone a fruit basket for bringing me back to life... or if they're just trying to kill me and doing a really crap job of it.
To complicate things, three super hot mercenaries—Darion, Silas, and Miles—have made it their mission to look out for me. They're all supes, by the way, although they won't tell me what kind. All I know is they won't let me handle this alone, no matter how hard I try, and they're starting to break through my walls as easily as they break through bad guys' heads.
The only problem is, I can tell they have secrets.
I learned long ago never to trust people who keep secrets. Especially because I think this secret might have something to do with my little undead problem...
Do I let them break down my walls, or will that just kill me forever this time?
Thank you, beautiful friend, for this gracious post. I’m so sorry we haven’t been able to complete this book yet but I know we will find our way back to Sam’s story and share it with the world soon.
Have the most magnificent time in Salem this year.
It’s hard to believe that this time last year I was still booked in for a full table at Getting Witchy With It 2024. I couldn’t (& still can’t) wait to squeeze you in person… Once mum got sick, everything had to change, and it did so fast. But I know one day - hopefully, one day soon - we will get to meet up in person.
Have a blast with Shelly & Mariah and all our friends who are helping out and visiting your table. I’ll be there with you all in spirit!
💋🦔💋
Salem is going to be amazing. I can't wait to see the pics and hear about all of the adventures!
