Hello Kittens
This past weekend was one for the record books. Getting to hang out with my author besties and our amazing PAs was wonderful. And we were fortunate enough to make new friends too! It didn’t turn out exactly the way I thought it would. We had fun at the signing, and walking around Salem, seeing the sights and getting not exactly Friday the 13th tattoos (we got them on Sunday, because I’m a disaster and left my ID in my suitcase). But what really made the weekend were the new friends and the amazing things that the Romance World can do when we all gather together.
If you follow me on Facebook, you have probably seen at least a little about what our little mission in Salem was about. For those of you who don’t, here’s a quick summery of a much bigger story:
A few weeks ago Mariah and I were sitting down in my driveway having one of the most boring yard sales you could imagine. She was scrolling Facebook, when she said, hey there’s a post up on the GWWI group about a model and his wife who need a place to stay, his author isn’t coming and their accommodations fell through. I knew the look she gave me, it was probably the same one on my face, it said we were helping. We had a four bedroom Airbnb, why not, we could make room.
Fast forward to actually getting to meet the lovely Jose and his beautiful wife, Andrea. The reason that his author (Everly Taylor) wasn’t coming was that her son was in a horrifically bad car accident resulting in the loss of both of his legs, and she was needed at the hospital with him while he had life saving surgery after life saving surgery.
So, we hatched a plan. She couldn’t be at the signing, wasn’t making any money, and couldn’t write. Mariah, Shelly and I had already planned on doing a giveaway, so we, along with Jose and Andrea, decided that that giveaway would be a raffle instead. We got tickets, pooled the things we were going to giveaway, added a few more from our walk around town (hike, it was a five plus mile hike around town, my feet are still angry with me), made fliers and some prints of Everly’s book covers, and set off.
We did not anticipate the amazing love that the book world would bring. We dropped posts in the GWWI groups, went with our PAs (who are the best PAs ever) and talked to authors and venders, and donations flowed in. The raffle grew and grew, even before the doors of the signing had opened. Over two days we had so much love come our way. We sold tickets, met amazing humans, and felt the community around us come together to do what they could to help. All together we pulled in over fifteen hundred dollars, every cent of which has gone to Everly and her family.
We would like to thank Ashley, our winner, and every person that donated, whether it was a book, a dollar for a ticket, or spreading the word. We could not have done this without all of you!
XOXO,
Kat
What’s in this Edition:
Everly Taylor Books - You can help her too, go out and check out all her books!

If you read the story up top, you will understand why Everly isn’t really writing right now. And with no words happening, its harder to get people to see her amazing books. So, if you haven’t checked her out before, this is your chance. If you already know her and love her, check out any of her books you haven’t gotten to yet.
Grab some books, pass the story on so that others can also discover her!
Who’s ready for my last book signing of the year?
BOOKS BY THE ARCH:
On October 5th I will be signing at Books by the Arch in St. Louis Missouri on my own. I will of course have my lovely PA Sara with me (who I am more than grateful for, cause I’m not the world’s best peopler when it comes to large crowds—I promise I want to talk to you all! I just freak out a bit.) You can find tickets for this event HERE and more information on the event itself HERE and if you want to preorder books from me you can do so HERE. This is a hometown event for me, so I’m likely to have a good number of books on the day, but if you want to ensure you get specific books, please preorder (and they come with extra swag when you do!).
Watch this space for announcements for next year’s signings!
WHO WANTS A FREE BOOK?!?
This year I have gotten together with some of the very best in Romance, to be able to offer my readers a free book each and every month.
WHAT?
Yes. A free book from some of my favorite authors will be available in my first of the month news letter.
Finding North
They say love conquers all.
They say love will find a way.
They say it is better to have loved and lost.
They don't say...that these things are all lies.
Conall Williams was my first, my last, my everything.
He is my North. He always will be. Even if I am no longer his.
***
Upper East Sider Leora Caivano has the perfect life — not.
She's in her senior year in high school, lives alone with her mother...and she's slowly losing her freaking mind.
Then British Billionaire Conall Williams — ripped, elite, and absolutely, mouth-wateringly gorgeous — walks into her life.
Technically, she's old enough to be with him according to the law. But will he want to be with her if he knows how old she really is?
Maybe she should lie about her age...
I’m so proud of everyone who helped in all the ways at the signing. Book people are the best people.
Go read Everly Taylor’s books!
Such a beautiful thing to do and I’m so glad the whole community came together to support this raffle and send their love to Everly and her son ✍🏽💙🌈💙✍🏽
